About The Position

The Lead, Design Reporting & Analytics plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Design organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Design Planning & Analytics, this role provides tactical and operational support across planning, reporting, workforce analytics, dashboard development, and project performance visibility. The Lead oversees the Design Dashboard ecosystem and ensures consistent, accurate, and actionable reporting across all Newbuild design projects and portfolios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Architecture/Design, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years experience in reporting, analytics, project management, or PMO roles.
  • Experience with Workfront, Power BI, or project reporting tools.
  • Analytical skills; dashboard creation; data modeling.
  • Proficient in relevant project management and reporting tools (MS Project, Power BI, Adobe Workfront, APIs, Tableau, Alteryx)
  • Strong communication and ability to simplify complexity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large multi-disciplinary programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Design Planning & Analytics data strategy (definitions, lineage, and governance); improve data quality and accessibility to support predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Own the Design Dashboard and maintain portfolio-wide reporting frameworks.
  • Develop standardized reporting packages for recurring meetings.
  • Build and maintain structured weekly coverage frameworks.
  • Support establishment of enterprise KPIs and performance frameworks; build executive-ready dashboards and narratives (e.g., Power BI) that translate data into insights, forecasts, and decisions.
  • Manage multiple dashboard products
  • Standardize scheduling software configurations and data structures across internal teams, yards, suppliers, and external design firms to enable portfolio consolidation and benchmarking.
  • Support execution of portfolio and project audits/reviews; institute corrective-action plans and coach teams on schedule discipline, risk handling, and readiness for key stage gates.
  • Support schedule and operational risk management, including identification, quantification, mitigation planning, and escalation management; ensure alignment with quality and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborate with task owners to support on-time completion.
  • Manage SCM/ESCM schedules and escalate resource misalignments.
  • Support the translation of long-term Design demand (10-year outlook) into capacity and resource plans; recommend investments, sequencing options, and phasing to balance cost, risk, and value.
  • Establish workforce planning concept and solution
  • Support multi-year workforce planning and capacity modeling for Design organization supporting Newbuild and Fleet Modernization projects.
  • Create and manage integrated master project schedules and portfolio roadmaps; identify cross-program critical-path, dependency, and scenario analyses to optimize schedules, scope, and resource trade-offs together with relevant stakeholders (shipyards, Corporation, brands, architects)
  • Create holistic project and forward looking project plans that follow Newbuild Project Excellence
  • Drive cross-functional process improvement using Lean/Six Sigma/Agile toolkits; facilitate workshops, author standards, and lead change management to land new ways of working.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reporting and resource alignment.
  • Support training and adoption of project management (tool) best practices.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
