Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a geotechnical/structural engineering field.
  • Possess a strong understanding of soil mechanics and structural loading conditions.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software, including AutoCAD, Microsoft applications, other geotechnical software including, SLIDE, SLOPE-W, Settle 3D.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels in person, written and over the phone both within and outside the company.
  • Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop preliminary designs for Geopier Foundations proprietary technologies.
  • Work closely with Region Engineers and Geopier licensee teams to provide technical guidance and direction in support of project feasibility and project bidding efforts for Geopier design-build solutions.
  • Interpret geotechnical data, project drawings, and prepare final design documents.
  • Support Design Center review team by performing slope stability and other geotechnical analyses to prepare RAP designs.
  • Work with junior staff to prepare and update geotechnical design standards and presentation materials as directed by Director of Engineering.
