About The Position

Axiom Dentistry in Clayton is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant II to support our doctor and help ensure smooth, efficient patient care. This role is ideal for someone confident, dependable, and skilled in advanced chairside assisting. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• NC X-ray certification
• DAII experience required
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside for all procedures, including crown/bridge, oral surgery, and endo
• Prep/sterilize rooms and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control
• Take and record patient medical histories
• Perform lab tasks (models, temporaries, guards, etc.) and manage lab cases
• Provide post-op instructions and patient education
• Help schedule follow-ups and deliver clear handoffs to admin team
• Complete post-op calls for advanced procedures
• Participate in daily huddles and help keep clinical operations organized
