We’re opening a new location in Lawrence, Kansas, and we’re building an exceptional management team to help us bring our passion for world-class BBQ and scratch-made, chef-inspired cuisine to even more guests. Job Purpose: Our passion is creating craveable, memorable dining experiences. The Delivery Supervisor ensures smooth, efficient, and professional execution of all catering deliveries. This role provides leadership, oversees delivery staff, maintains quality and safety standards, and ensures Q39’s reputation for exceptional service is upheld at every event.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in hospitality, logistics, or catering operations (Carryout & Food delivery experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to support and motivate a team in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass driver checks
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work flexible schedules, including weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

  • BEO Review & Planning – Review all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in advance; confirm accuracy, identify special requirements, and organize staffing, vehicles, and equipment needs to ensure flawless execution.
  • Delivery Operations Oversight – Ensure all deliveries are executed accurately according to the BEO, including food, equipment, and special instructions.
  • Team Support and Supervision – Provide guidance, scheduling, and supervision for delivery staff; support team members with tools, training, and direction while modeling professional communication and guest service standards.
  • Logistics & Equipment Management – Oversee packing, loading, vehicle cleanliness, and equipment returns; ensure proper storage and inventory of catering materials.
  • Client Communication – Confirm ETAs, manage client interactions with professionalism, and ensure all Q39 standards are met at delivery sites.
  • Issue Resolution & Reporting – Support drivers in resolving on-site challenges; gather client feedback; report operational issues, vehicle concerns, or equipment needs.
  • Collaboration – Partner with the Catering Operations Manager and Sales Manager to continually improve efficiency, training, and client satisfaction.
