About The Position

As our Lead Teacher, you’ll be the captain of your classroom ship! You’ll implement a thoughtfully designed curriculum, nurture each child’s growth, and serve as the main point of contact for parents. You’ll also mentor fellow teachers, ensuring every classroom moment is safe, engaging, and full of smiles.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 24 college credits in a child care-related field plus 4,160 hours of assistant teaching experience.
  • Communicate clearly with parents, staff, and team members.
  • Frequently lift children up to 60 lbs from floor to waist height.
  • Crouch, sit, and engage at a child’s level — eye contact included!
  • Reach, bend, and move to support children on play equipment.
  • Passion for early childhood education and child development.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a classroom team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Creativity, patience, and a sense of humor — kids notice!
  • Ability to make quick decisions in line with safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, guide, and cheer on children both individually and as a group.
  • Bring our curriculum to life with fun, educational activities.
  • Support daily routines like meals and personal care, tailored to each child’s development.
  • Observe, assess, and document each child’s growth — and celebrate their milestones!
  • Serve as the go-to person for parents and families, sharing updates and guidance.
  • Lead and support other teachers, providing feedback and direction when needed.
  • Keep the classroom safe, organized, and full of joy.
  • Be a role model for children and maintain confidentiality with care.
  • Pitch in with general team duties, from tidying up to light kitchen help — we all work together!
