Overview Responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of essential reporting and data analytics for Risk Management programs. This role is designed to ensure risk management programs are implemented consistently and operate effectively across the business lines as it relates to all risk types including strategic, operational, compliance and financial. The role will coordinate cross-functionally to determine the need for reporting and data analytics, and how to best implement them to achieve the company’s business objectives. As such, this role will work on a broad range of initiatives that will require a strong appreciation of the company’s products and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related field of specialty.
  • Typically 8 or more years of experience in Risk Management, data analytics or related experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and report presentation creation skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading risk functions in a 2LOD environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently generate and communicate creative ideas and solutions.
  • Excellent problem solver with effective change management skills.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the business-lines.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build trust in business partners.
  • Effective influence management skills.
  • Experience in data risk analytics and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of data quality standards.
  • Expertise in documenting end-to-end Process Maps, Risks, and Controls.
  • Ability to engage with various cross functional teams in bringing together holistic perspective (upstream/ downstream).
  • Background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with various business line leaders to mature data analytics, system dashboards, monitoring, reporting, and tracking for risks.
  • Coordinate and complete Risk Management’s recurring management and committee reporting cycles.
  • Provides expertise in solving unique problems, leading projects related to maturing reporting, dashboards, and data analytics, related to products, and operational process improvements.
  • Communicating complex ideas and anticipating objections/influencing others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Design, maintain, and report metrics (KPIs and KRIs) for demonstrating control effectiveness and continuous risk identification and monitoring.
  • Actively participate and support required regulatory exams, audits, and inquiries, striving for zero issues with timely remediation plans.
  • Identify and report issues through the ERM Self-Identified Issue Process, individually and together with other first line business partners.
  • Ensure risk remediation plans exist and are sufficient; track remediation plans to completion and ensure remediation is on-time and sustainable; ensure action plans and remediation of issues.
  • Deliver education and awareness of GRC system essentials.
  • Continually monitor and update reporting and data analytic outputs, keeping abreast of significant risk management trends, and developments.
  • Support the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
