About The Position

We are hiring a Lead Data Platform & Analytics Engineer to architect, build, and optimize our enterprise data ecosystem. This role blends data engineering, business intelligence, and AI-driven automation to deliver actionable insights across the organization. This role provides technical leadership within the Innovation department, guiding architecture and best practices across data initiatives, but does not include formal supervisory responsibilities. Ideal candidates thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Applied Statistics, or a related field with strong computational and data systems emphasis.
  • 5+ years in data engineering, BI development, and database administration.
  • Proven expertise in Power BI, Azure Data Services, SQL/NoSQL, and ETL frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and Python-based data workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with construction tech or ERP systems (e.g., Tekla, Spectrum, Project Sight).
  • Knowledge of IoT data integration and cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted monitoring and automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations across ERP, project management, IoT, and other business systems.
  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes, ensuring reliable flow, transformation, and storage of structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and optimize databases, data lakes, and data warehouses for analytical and operational needs.
  • Implement data quality, integrity, and consistency through validation, auditing, and monitoring.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Model data for performance and usability; implement DAX calculations and optimize semantic models.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and promote a data-first culture.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques for forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision support.
  • Integrate predictive models into BI workflows using Azure ML, Python-based models, and Copilot tools.
  • Automate repetitive data operations and reporting tasks using AI-assisted tools.
  • Install, configure, and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Monitor performance, implement tuning strategies, and manage backups and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with data security policies, encryption standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with IT, Operations, Engineering, and Project Management teams to align data strategy with business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to peers; contribute to data governance initiatives and documentation.
