About The Position

We are seeking an accomplished Lead Data Engineer to spearhead the transformation of our financial services data platform. This hands-on leadership role combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision, building a modern data platform for financial services. You will lead the design, enhancement, and governance of our data systems, ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and resilient, while leveraging cloud-native and AI driven technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • 8 years minimum related work experience
  • 7+ years of proven experience designing, implementing, and leading enterprise-scale data solutions
  • Deep expertise in Azure Cloud Technologies and Data Services - Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and modern data and AI architecture patterns
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps for data, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams while remaining hands-on with complex technical challenges
  • Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Banking and Financial Services Domain
  • Hands on experience with .Net
  • Experience leveraging Databricks for data engineering solutions

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver scalable data solutions using Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, and C# .NET
  • Create robust, maintainable data models to power analytics and product development across financial services
  • Optimize existing data systems and pipelines to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive end-to-end implementation of financial domain data solutions - from ingestion and transformation through governance and consumption - ensuring reliability, security, compliance, and performance across critical systems.
  • Migrate legacy financial services data systems to cloud-native architectures delivering resilient, compliant, and cost‑efficient infrastructure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, business leaders, analysts, and engineers to understand data needs and translate them into high-quality scalable architectures
  • Establish and enforce data engineering standards for data governance, quality, observability, and documentation across the stack
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and career development for data engineers and drive technical excellence and innovation across engineering efforts.
