About The Position

Brady Worldwide, Inc., is seeking a Lead Data Engineer (Python/SQL) to work at our Milwaukee, WI headquarters. Flexible work hours available. As a Lead Data Engineer, you are responsible for design, development, and support of data pipelines from multiple applications and sources to facilitate data analytics needs. Our team partners with Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Operations business users and data scientists to help develop data driven insights and make data-driven decisions. The Lead Data Engineer works with various data and BI tools and technologies, such as Python, SQL Server, Google Big Query, Google Cloud Composer, etc.

Requirements

  • Develop data pipelines from multiple sources using SQL, Big Query, and Python code.
  • Develop SQL code or data flow to integrate and transform data from multiple sources into useful, consistent and easily consumable data elements.
  • Work with business analysts and business users to understand data requirements and map into easy consumable data elements.
  • Provide ongoing enhancement and support for data pipelines in the production environment. Understand critical needs of the business, identify and fix issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Participate in discussions on design options and approaches, propose solutions and develop the new capabilities.
  • Perform and lead the code reviews to identify coding, process and functionality improvements.
  • Work on troubleshooting, identifying issues and performance bottlenecks, problem solving and impact analysis.
  • Follow the Scrum process and take ownership of Jira stories.
  • Lead the junior developers, provide directions and guide them with development and support processes.
