Requirements

Experience in splicing and terminating single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables
Knowledge of fusion splicing and OTDR testing
Ability to interpret and analyze test results
Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Understanding of fiber optic systems and components
Proficiency in splicing and related operations
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
Detail-oriented
Strong problem-solving skills
Able to work with minimal supervision
Travel and Production splicing Required.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install fiber optic cables
Test fiber optic cables for proper performance
Splice fiber optic cables using fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques
Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic cables
Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine installation requirements
Calibrate and adjust equipment as needed
Maintain records of work performed
