About the position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Data Center Installation Technician to manage and oversee data center security installation projects. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical experience in electronic and physical security systems who enjoys mentoring others and leading by example. You'll be responsible for coordinating with technicians, customers, and management to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The lead will also be assisting in training technicians and working with apprentices to expand job knowledge in access control and alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Install electronic and physical security systems, including access control and alarm systems.
  • Pull wire and install hardware as per project specifications.
  • Test installed systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide accurate reports and updates to management and customers.
  • Maintain and organize tools, inventory, and assigned vehicle.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, helping them build technical skills and product knowledge.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, and change orders, on time.
  • Ensure vehicle and truck stock are well-maintained and compliant with company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in security system installation or a combination of education and relevant military training.
  • Experience with access control systems. Lenel Certification is Required!
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead and train team members.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
