About The Position

The Lead Data and Integration Engineer will verify the stability, security, and scalability of system architecture and work with developers to ensure compatibility of system components. This position acts as a liaison between IT Architects and IT Analysts to break down complex systems into smaller components and coach/lead a team of Data and Integration Engineers to design and develop these components. The role functions as the primary practitioner coach on the team to grow the capabilities of other engineers. Responsibilities include driving new initiatives, conducting POCs, and evaluating products for seamless integration. The engineer will perform data modeling and create data architecture footprints with operational integration capabilities, and must understand how to build advanced jobs using map-reduce technology. The position requires the ability to identify and track key metrics produced by the application and contribute to 24x7x365 days of on-call staff coverage.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or IS.
  • 1 year of experience with knowledge and use of at least 6 of the following: Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle PL/SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, Teradata, COBOL, Python, Spark, Pyspark, SQL Server, MS Access, or MySQL.
  • 4+ years related experience including a minimum of 2+ years designing, building, and deploying software in Cloud.
  • Agile and Design Thinking certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Some ETL/data movement certifications.
  • ServiceNow training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain code using software development methodology and appropriate technologies for the system being used.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to develop detailed systems design and written test plans for online and report application programs.
  • Perform analysis on projects and provide a project plan that shows the tasks needing to be completed and a time estimate for each task.
  • Participate in design walkthroughs with appropriate focus groups and related users to verify accuracy of design in meeting business needs.
  • Prepare installation instructions and coordinate installation procedures.
  • Support and troubleshoot application code problems.
  • Provide status reports that give a detailed description of the current project's progress and indicates time devoted to each task of the project.
  • Coordinate, guide, and mentor programming efforts performed by in-house programmers or outside consultants to ensure that all programming is completed according to the project plan.
