About The Position

The Lead Data Analyst will act as a key consultant in driving HR strategies through data insights, reporting, and analysis. This role will work cross-functionally with senior leaders (Sr. Directors and above), transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. The Lead Data Analyst is expected to provide rapid and routine insights by leveraging various data technologies, applying mathematical and statistical techniques, and creating data visualizations to provide strategic recommendations. This role also requires developing a deep understanding of HR domain knowledge to provide relevant insights and advice.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis with a BA/BS or graduate degree in business analytics, data science, HR or related field
  • Demonstrated leader in knowledge and application of data, reporting, and analytics
  • Proficient in SQL with understanding of various programming languages- R, Python
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and establish strong partnerships across HR and business units to understand and address their needs
  • Prior experience in human resources or data analytics industry

Responsibilities

  • Consultative Advisor (30%): Partner with senior leaders to align data analytics with business strategies, ensuring that insights inform critical initiatives and drive key outcomes. Provide expert advice, translating data findings into actionable recommendations tailored to senior leadership challenges and opportunities.
  • Insight Generator (30%): Write SQL and leverage other data sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in HR data. Design impactful visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively communicate key insights. Employ predictive analytics to anticipate HR trends and proactively inform strategic planning.
  • Partnership Developer (25%): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, aligning analytics initiatives with broader organizational goals. Foster strong relationships with senior leaders, understanding their needs and delivering proactive, data-driven solutions. Act as a liaison between People Analytics & Insights and HR/business units, ensuring that stakeholder needs are met.
  • Domain Expert (10%): Provide industry benchmarking and best practices, helping leaders understand how their HR strategies compare to competitors. Apply in-depth HR domain knowledge to interpret data accurately and offer relevant insights. Stay informed of HR regulations and data privacy standards to ensure compliance.
  • General Responsibilities (5%): Continuously improve data quality, analytical methodologies, and tools, mentoring peers and sharing best practices. Contribute to the overall strategy and objectives of the People Analytics team.
