Help us transform our workforce of the future, today. We are seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, implementing, and improving information security controls and solutions. This role delivers on cybersecurity strategies and supports existing systems in accordance with established policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. You will develop and define security standards for new and existing cybersecurity controls, leveraging specialized knowledge in domains such as identity & access management, network security, data-loss prevention, application security, endpoint security, cloud security, incident management, forensics, vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, or cybersecurity compliance. The position is instrumental in improving cybersecurity programs and project deliverables, making a significant impact on the organization’s security posture.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in information security, server and/or application security baseline configurations, IT infrastructure management, application architecture, risk management, data architecture, middleware technology, developing and implementing security products/systems, or other directly related technical experience
• Cloud experience including GCP, AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible with CI/CD pipeline, visualization/containers, or other directly related experience
• Expert knowledge of configuration security baselines and baseline policy compliance, industry standards for secure configurations and policy, and industry trends
• Extensive knowledge of information security technologies, tools, and administration
• Excellent organizational and task management skills with emphasis on detail and follow-up
• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent client relationship, customer service, and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently in a complex, sophisticated technical environment
• Ability to lead, train, and mentor lower level staff

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and implement information security controls and solutions
• Deliver on cybersecurity strategies and support existing systems in line with established policies and standards
• Develop and define security standards for new and existing cybersecurity controls
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and processes to safeguard internal information systems and databases
• Develop process automation and ensure effective systems integration
• Research, recommend, and implement changes to enhance cybersecurity of information systems
• Assist with writing policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
• Support and participate in incident response and technical investigations as needed
• Provide technical guidance to enterprise architecture and collaborate with line of business and vendors
• Monitor security logs and trends for security-related events and unauthorized activities
• Other duties as assigned
