About The Position

The Customer Engineer Specialist position is responsible for overseeing all designs, implementations and enhancements of equipment. In addition to performing routine repairs and maintenance on the equipment, they will design and implement electronic/mechanical/software modifications to existing equipment, as well as design new equipment/systems for use in our current operation. Responsible for the emergency repair and on-going maintenance required to ensure optimum performance of the user’s electronic and hardware systems . Works with operators, leads and managers to determine equipment issues and implement emergency repairs of equipment in a timely manner. Responsible for thinking outside the box to rectify existing equipment misgivings. Includes designing and implementing electronic/mechanical/software modifications to existing equipment, as well as designing new equipment/systems for use in our current operation. Responsible for reducing costs by developing enhancements to high failure items, as well as through outsourcing parts used in current operation. C reate s enhancements to current systems, visualize, enhancement, create, prototype and test, acquire approval to implement from operations, & develop implementation plan. Responsible for writing machine control code, developing and writing code for programs that are utilized in the operations facilities, and building electronic circuitry used in our in-house machine solutions.

Requirements

  • HS/GED and 6 years experience as a customer engineer
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electronics and/or equivalent hands-on job experience + 2 years of experience as a Senior Customer Engineer

Responsibilities
