About The Position
The Campus Recreation Lead Custodian is responsible for performing a wide range of custodial duties and providing oversight for assigned campus areas. Responsibilities include general cleaning and custodial care of campus buildings, facilities, and adjacent areas, such as offices, classrooms, laboratories, auditoriums, gymnasiums, and outdoor spaces. The Lead Custodian also trains, supervises, and supports custodial staff, assigns and inspects work, maintains records, and coordinates custodial support for departmental events. Additional duties include identifying and reporting repair and supply needs, ordering materials, and ensuring the safe use of custodial equipment and techniques. Custodial staff may work independently or as part of a custodial team.
