About The Position
Provide supervisory support to Custodial Supervisor and performs custodial duties in accordance with GIC contracts
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalent preferred
- Two years custodial experience required
- Ability to stand
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to speak
- Ability to hear
- Ability to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to operate machinery without posing a safety hazard to self or others
- Ability to write
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Full range of motion above the head
- Ability to bend, lift and carry
- Ability to complete tasks with numerous interruptions
- Compassion and respect for persons with special needs and the ability to earn their confidence
Responsibilities
- Gathering and distributing equipment and supplies to custodial staff
- Performing custodial duties
- Assisting in the training of new employees/trainees
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times
- Be flexible and assume new job responsibilities as needed
- Commit to improvement and team building
- Perform other duties as assigned
