About The Position

The Lead Custodian for the 3rd shift at York College of Pennsylvania is responsible for overseeing a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of college facilities. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid PA Driver's license required with a safe driving record.
• 2-5 years of housekeeping/event setups experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the work of a team of 3-10 housekeeping staff in assigned buildings.
• Inspect the work of custodial staff to ensure quality control and compliance with health regulations.
• Perform custodial maintenance of residential, administrative, dining, and support facilities.
• Train staff on custodial maintenance processes and safe operation of equipment.
• Monitor methods and products used to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assist with event coverage, including setup and teardown as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial equipment and work areas.
• Respond to emergency cleanups and urgent tasks as required.
• Perform snow and ice removal during inclement weather.
