The Part-Time Lead Cross-Utilized Agent is responsible for providing a seamless passenger experience, including check-in, ticketing, rebooking itineraries, issuing boarding passes, and handling fees. This role involves resolving passenger issues due to flight interruptions and may include working in the Baggage Service Office to track baggage. The agent ensures accurate passenger information and timely flight departures. Physical duties include prepping and securing aircraft, communicating with flight crew using radio devices, and ensuring compliance with United and FAA regulations. The position requires lifting and handling baggage up to 70 lbs (potentially over 100 items for a single aircraft), pushing/pulling carts, ascending/descending jet-way stairs, bending/stooping/crawling for cargo, and driving ground equipment like tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts. Cleaning aircraft interiors and lavatories is also part of the role. The agent must be able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions. As a Lead agent, additional responsibilities include managing daily operations, providing direction and coaching to employees, collaborating with station leadership, effective communication with agents, reporting incidents, maintaining professional relationships, and ensuring safe, caring, dependable, and efficient operations.
