About The Position

The Warehouse Associate Team Lead is a working leadership role within an indirect material warehouse environment. This position performs all core warehouse functions while providing day-to-day guidance to warehouse associates, helping ensure safe, accurate, and efficient operations. The Team Lead serves as the first escalation point for operational issues, supports training and process adherence, and partners with management to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service, safety, and productivity. This is a 2nd shift position, approximate hours 2:30pm – 11:00pm M-F. May be required to participate in weekend overtime on a rotational basis.

Requirements

  • Must have basic math, computer, and communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable by employer’s insurance carrier

  • MRO/warehousing and inventory knowledge a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily warehouse functions including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping of inventory.
  • Operate warehouse equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through proper handling, documentation, and system transactions.
  • Support timely order fulfillment to meet customer and internal service level expectations.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and support to warehouse associates during assigned shifts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on warehouse processes, systems, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Reinforce standard operating procedures and ensure consistent process execution.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused team environment.
  • Help coordinate daily workflow and task assignments to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Monitor work progress and identify potential bottlenecks or service risks.
  • Escalate operational issues, staffing challenges, or inventory discrepancies to warehouse management.
  • Support communication between warehouse associates and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, workflow efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects such as process optimization, layout improvements, and inventory management initiatives.
  • Support implementation of new processes, tools, or operational standards.
  • Encourage team engagement in problem solving and operational improvements
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and adherence to all safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and support corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and organization throughout the warehouse.
