About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Risk Officer in Consumer Credit Risk as part of Corporate Risk. This role involves providing senior credit officers and various business partners with proactive and in-depth analysis to enhance credit oversight and risk management for the retail and consumer businesses.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Credit Risk experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

  • Strong control management, project management, and/or process development experience.
  • Policy and/or procedure management experience.
  • Experience with RCSA preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve policy and process gaps through root cause analysis and control design assessment.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement policy and process enhancements, driving for timely completion of deliverables.
  • Manage time-sensitive, critical enterprise or credit risk initiatives independently while receiving direction from leaders.
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for risk mitigation strategies within Credit Risk.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, addressing business, operational, or technical challenges.
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing knowledge of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies impacting credit risk appetite and culture.
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Work in partnership with business for oversight of risk management.
  • Establish priorities and drive accountability for assigned initiatives, providing leadership to ensure effective solutions.
