YMCA Child Care Services seeks enthusiastic part-time Lead Counselors to work the Summer Day Camp Season. Lead Counselors assist the Program Director oversee the daily functions of the Summer Day Camp for their assigned group(s). Connect: Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that is able to connect quickly with program participants, parents, and supervisors. Nurture: Actively engage with and provide quality care for program participants in order to deliver a quality childcare experience. Lead: Good communication, accounting, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.
  • Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
  • An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 Years of Higher Education or the equivalent is Preferred.
