As a Lead Counsel – Global Entity Governance, you will be responsible for: Overall corporate governance of Baker Hughes legal entities in North America.

Requirements

  • At least three years of post-qualified experience working as a lawyer for a multinational law firm or as in-house counsel for a large multinational corporation.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Have a minimum of three years of experience in corporate governance.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Be able to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Have proven analytical and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting meeting of the board of directors and shareholders of the entities within the assigned jurisdictions.
  • Managing the power of attorney process, by receiving requests, obtain approvals, and issuance.
  • Reviewing resolutions, documents and power of attorneys requested by subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Handling the notarization, apostille, and legalization of documents.
  • Responsible for supporting Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Providing in timely manner all corporate information related to assigned jurisdictions as requested by other BKR teams.
  • Managing invoicing procedures and workflows to ensure compliance with guidelines. Support with processing invoices, new vendor onboarding, vendor training, billing error resolutions, and serve as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
