About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Supports management in leading daily activities of department and team members by performing the following duties. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides work direction to team members. Monitors compliance of current Company and department policies and procedures. Communicates performance, behavior standards, and expectations; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation. Monitor equipment and supplies and initiates repair/replacement/re-order process. Monitors the progress of the process to assure timely completion. Completes administrative tasks relating to the process and other activities as assigned. Provides assistance to the Costume Specialist I’s and Costume Dressers as needed with issue, fitting, and dressing tasks. Ensure the costume work areas remain clean and organized. Gather weekly performer scheduling through UO computer system to facilitate costume preset process. Monitor and facilitate special events requests. Observe shows/character sets for costume appearance notes to maintain quality. Communicate and troubleshoot with Entertainment Supervisory team members as it relates to issue/notes that have arisen surrounding costumes. Organize and assist with training of new and current team members. Ensure trainer is identified and that training is being delivered per Standard Operating Procedure. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED
  • Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • 0-1 Year: Ability to perform basic costume repairs and completion of 90 days of service with Universal Orlando required six months to one-year experience providing work direction, and previous theatrical experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
