Job Description Job Summary The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities on an assigned shift. This role leads production team members, assigns work, monitors performance, and ensures production, quality, and safety goals are met.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Comfortable working with small parts, tools, and microscopes
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
- Willing to adjust schedule as needed
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Electro‑mechanical assembly experience
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, ESD, and ISO 9001
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production employees during an 8‑hour shift
- Assign daily work, set priorities, and conduct shift meetings
- Monitor production progress, quality, and productivity
- Ensure daily production plans are completed on time
- Coordinate material flow and equipment activities
- Enforce safety, quality, and company procedures
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Maintain organized, disciplined, and clean production lines (5S)
- Track production output and performance metrics
- Train and support team members
