About The Position

Make manufacturing run better—every visit, every fix, every improvement In this leadership-leaning field role, you’ll be the force that restores uptime, advances preventative strategies, and mentors others—while tackling the toughest control-system and electro-mechanical problems on the floor. The impact you’ll have Diagnose issues by observing machines in operation; disassemble to access and remove defective parts; inspect components; adjust functional parts and control instruments; repair or replace; validate with electrical and mechanical tests; recondition and repair machine tools. Elevate reliability by sourcing parts and supplies, evaluating alternatives for superior cost and performance, and packaging retrofits, upgrades, or alternate functions. Establish the standard: independently perform maintenance to industry norms and author maintenance standards and instructions for altered or new equipment. Advise customer teams on maintenance optimization, reliability approaches, and PM processes. Perform precision machining (lathe, drill press, grinder, and more) and welding to fabricate or repair components. Resolve the hardest problems by altering, troubleshooting, and analyzing complex control systems—software, hardware, and configuration included. Harness advanced maintenance technologies to collect performance data, detect trends, and drive recommendations. Capture knowledge: complete service reports and system entries, write clear narratives of findings and performance data, and compile technical manuals plus operating/maintenance procedures for equipment upgrades and automation integrations. Grow others: mentor lower-level technicians, provide leadership within project teams, deliver on-the-job training, and lead technical development programs for coworkers and customers. Work safely and professionally: follow all safety policies, rules, regulations, instructions, and guidelines; practice situational awareness and address unsafe behaviors/conditions; align with customer contractor codes of conduct and housekeeping standards.
