The Lead Controls Engineer works with hardware and software to develop and improve capabilities for communication and control with instrumentation and database systems. This role involves specifying precise new product functional requirements, designing, testing, and integrating components to produce final designs, and evaluating the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. The engineer will adapt or write software to improve communication and data usage, collaborating heavily with internal engineering and manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
