Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer within the Commercial Banking Control organization. This role is pivotal in supporting the Data Controls across the Commercial Banking domains. The Control team is tasked with partnering with relevant business groups to develop and maintain a robust control environment that facilitates the early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. In this capacity, the Lead Control Management Officer will engage in various activities that encompass the entire issues management lifecycle, from issue identification to corrective action development and validation. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Commercial Banking Data Domain team to drive issue management processes, ensuring that corrective actions are properly scoped and accountability is established. This role requires active engagement with business operations to ensure effective execution and control management, addressing challenges as they arise, and tracking progress to guarantee timely delivery. Additionally, the officer will be involved in the development and implementation of new controls, action plans, and conducting root cause analyses to support the business in implementing control programs. A strong risk management culture is essential, and the Lead Control Management Officer will play a key role in implementing key risk management programs, such as the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), into the standard operating framework of the business. This position demands a proactive approach to risk management, with a focus on creating, implementing, and maintaining effective and repeatable processes that ensure high-quality outputs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
