Viracon LLC Position Info Viracon is a leader in architectural glass. We are the largest single site glass fabricator in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world. We offer over a million customizable options for customers unique specifications in the architectural glass industry. We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our team! Learn more about Viracon by watching our YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho6R9kefDds Function: The Continuous Improvement Specialist (Lead) is responsible for leading and supporting organizational efforts to improve business processes using lean methodologies. This role partners with process leaders and cross-functional teams to plan and execute Kaizen events and problem-solving projects that align with the company’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience, with proven expertise in lean and CI initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor messages for varied audiences.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and guiding teams through change and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Must exemplify company values and promote a positive, respectful workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lean expert and internal consultant across all organizational levels.
  • Coach and mentor leaders in Continuous Improvement (CI) practices, including Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI).
  • Lead Kaizen events, from planning and execution to post-event follow-up and sustainment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments (e.g., Maintenance, Engineering, IT, Finance, Sales).
  • Deliver training sessions to build team competence in lean tools and CI methodologies.
  • Analyze data to support CI activities and measure performance improvements.
  • Stay current on industry best practices through ongoing education and networking.
  • Travel may be required.
