We are seeking an experienced Lead, Continuous Improvement professional to join our Space & Sensors team. This individual will work across all functional disciplines of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.
  • Lean expert or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to train on methodology.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to facilitate and work effectively with functional teams of all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Action oriented and ability to make decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Self-Starter with comprehensive knowledge and skills associated with manufacturing and/or inspection of aerospace products.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and/or other quality standards.
  • Direct experience with fabrication, assembly, test, and inspection processes commonly used to produce aerospace components and sub-assemblies.
  • Familiarity with 8D analysis or similar tools to determine root causes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, business analytics software such as PowerBI, and tools like Microsoft Visio and Minitab.

Responsibilities

  • Actively lead, resolve team issues, coach and guide cross-functional project teams in the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Serve as a technical resource for improvement teams, providing support by analyzing data, change management, project management and project implementation.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) events such as Kaizens, brainstorming, and value stream mapping.
  • Provide hands-on team guidance, support, and coaching to all roles and functions to advance CI maturity.
  • Continuously enhance improvement tool set and methodologies.
  • Proactively analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities and implement process efficiency and quality improvements.
