About The Position

Join Casey’s as a Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer, a strategic facilitator and change agent who partners with executives and cross‑functional teams to design solutions, accelerate transformation, and deliver measurable, sustainable results. You’ll champion a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning—helping embed CI into our organizational DNA. As a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will: Facilitate rapid improvement events (Kaizen, sprints, workshops), guiding teams through structured problem‑solving and solution design. Design and scale enterprise CI programs that hard‑wire continuous improvement into processes and ways of working. Partner with senior leaders to surface the highest‑value opportunities aligned to business objectives and strategic outcomes. Lead end‑to-end improvement lifecycles—from root‑cause analysis and solution development to implementation and long‑term sustainment. Build capability across the enterprise through training, coaching, and mentorship—creating CI multipliers at every level. Model facilitative leadership, empowering teams to challenge the status quo and drive collaborative change. Apply advanced methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking) to accelerate results and maximize impact. Capture and scale what works by documenting best practices, lessons learned, and success stories. Leverage digital tools and analytics to improve visibility, scalability, and effectiveness of CI initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree specializing in Process Engineering, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in continuous improvement and operational excellence, with demonstrated expertise in designing and facilitating large-scale workshops and leading rapid, cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable results at the enterprise level.
  • Multiple advanced certifications required (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Agile, Change Management, Facilitative Leadership).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with advanced process modeling tools (e.g. iGrafx, BIC, Adonis, Blueworks) to design and optimize complex workflows.
  • Proven ability to apply formal change management methodologies, including Prosci ADKAR, to drive successful organizational transitions.
  • Deep knowledge of business architecture frameworks and tools such as APQC, with experience aligning processes to enterprise standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in BPMN and sophisticated process modeling techniques to support process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Work is performed in both our stores and office setting; travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
