About The Position

Are you a skilled plumber with a passion for construction? We're looking for a Lead – Construction Plumber to take charge of commercial and residential plumbing installations. This role is perfect for a highly capable individual who can lead projects, guide apprentices, and ensure all work is up to code. As a Lead – Construction Plumber, you will be responsible for leading plumbing system installations for commercial and residential construction projects. You will be a key leader on the job site, ensuring high-quality work, providing guidance to team members, and communicating with the foreman to resolve any issues. Your expertise in blueprints and a strong understanding of plumbing systems will be essential to your success.

Requirements

  • Valid RI Journeyman Plumber License is required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a lead or senior plumbing role on construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications.
  • Skilled in joining various piping systems (copper, cast iron, PEX, PVC, etc.) and fixture installation.
  • Strong knowledge of state plumbing code and job site safety practices.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license in good standing.
  • Comfortable using tablets or mobile apps for documentation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install water, waste, vent, and gas piping systems according to project plans and plumbing codes.
  • Set and connect plumbing fixtures and equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and isometric piping drawings.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and join pipes using various methods (e.g., soldering, ProPress).
  • Identify and communicate field issues to the Foreman or Project Manager.
  • Provide technical guidance to apprentices and helpers to ensure safe and accurate installation.
  • Perform rough-ins and finish work on schedule.
  • Test piping systems for leaks and integrity.
  • Ensure all installations meet state and local plumbing codes and company quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Track daily work, materials used, and any field deviations.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all safety protocols.
