About The Position

Join a rapidly growing team focused on high-volume QSR rollouts with a strong emphasis on speed, consistency, and long-term client partnerships. We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Construction Estimator to join our team, specializing in Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) and retail construction projects. This is a remote position with minimal travel required. In this leadership role, you will drive the estimating process, ensure accuracy in cost projections, and guide internal teams through preconstruction. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of QSR builds, remodels, and renovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of estimating experience required , specifically within QSR or retail construction .
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an estimating or preconstruction environment.
  • Advanced expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong experience with detailed take-offs, scope analysis, and descoping subcontractor bids.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis, modeling, and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Conformance with the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for new construction, remodels, and site work.
  • Oversee and perform detailed material and quantity take-offs, including lumber.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and site conditions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Lead the solicitation, analysis, and leveling of subcontractor and supplier bids, including scope alignment and gap analysis.
  • Provide strategic value engineering recommendations to optimize project budgets and execution.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and leadership to align scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Coordinators and the Material Purchasing Coordinator.
  • Maintain and enhance cost databases and historical pricing records.
  • Prepare and present clear, competitive, and comprehensive proposals.
  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
