About The Position

The Lead Communication Strategist - NEER Communications is a client service role supporting NEER development's natural gas initiative. This position will outline, create and execute natural gas development messaging. The strategist will assist developers in effectively communicating our story to communities nationwide with the goal of permitting and constructing our natural gas projects. The ideal candidate will utilize a full range of communication services, including messaging, media relations, research, advertising, events, and digital communications. This role requires travel.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 6+ years

Responsibilities

• Develop communication strategies and messaging guides for natural gas development.
• Provide strategic communication counsel to senior leaders and managers.
• Engage confidently with media and execute media strategies and tactics.
• Collaborate with federal, state, and local government relations staff to manage issues.
• Provide exceptional communication support to the NEER natural gas development team.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance customer and stakeholder perceptions.
• Deliver excellent media relations support.
• Measure results and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and tactics to drive improvements.
• Support planning and cross-functional execution of events.
• Draft media statements/press releases and serve as media spokesperson.
