This position is for weekend shift, working Friday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. This shift receives an 11.11% shift differential amount in addition to the hourly base rate of pay. The Lead CNC Machinist will work with staff members in the machining cell on the weekend shift, operating Haas and Hurco 3-, 4-, & 5-axis machines along with a Haas Lathe. This role supports the supervisor and team in achieving on time delivery & quality goals, troubleshooting with machinists, mentoring & training machinists, and at the direction of department supervisor supports continuous improvement projects. Other Duties: · Knowledge of GD&T and inspection procedures. · Strong troubleshooting skills & ability to solidify improvements. · Strong interpersonal skills to include both written and oral communication skills. · Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet scheduled timelines, · Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing, · Ability to make sound decisions timely to improve results

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in multi axis machining
  • Previous lead experience preferred or ability to demonstrate mentorship & training responsibilities.
  • Completion of Technical College, apprenticeship program or equivalent of training & experience.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and inspection procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills & ability to solidify improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to include both written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet scheduled timelines
  • Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing
  • Ability to make sound decisions timely to improve results
