About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer in United States. This role leads the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud solutions across enterprise IT infrastructure, providing critical support to internal teams and business stakeholders. The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer drives the implementation of cloud strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for key applications and services. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and executives to deliver modern cloud-based solutions, while mentoring and guiding junior engineers. This position involves hands-on technical work, strategic planning, and leadership of cloud initiatives that directly impact operational efficiency and service quality. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and innovation-driven, offering opportunities to shape the cloud strategy and implement solutions at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with 2+ years in project leadership roles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, Networking).
  • Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Bicep) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, configuration management).
  • Experience with cloud engineering tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional cloud initiatives, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance implementation.
  • Passion for improving operational efficiency and delivering high-quality cloud solutions.

  • Azure certifications and a Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of cloud architectures, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop specifications for new cloud-based products and services.
  • Oversee cloud management platforms, evaluating performance and implementing enhancements for reliability and scalability.
  • Advise executives and business leaders on cloud strategy, functional planning, and technical decision-making.
  • Lead cloud engineering projects, including team coordination, task prioritization, and progress tracking.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to strengthen technical capabilities and team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational best practices.
