About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer/Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health. Responsibilities: Lead the migration and management of NHLBI’s applications and services to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Design, implement and maintain cloud environments including CI/CD pipelines. Ensure all cloud systems adhere to NIH security requirements and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud engineering and management.
  • Experience in a biomedical research or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience tracking and optimizing cloud costs
  • Azure Solutions Architect expert, Azure AI fundamentals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at NIH
  • Experience working with multiple cloud providers
  • Experience with Jenkins and GitHub
