About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer/Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health. Responsibilities: Lead the migration and management of NHLBI’s applications and services to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Design, implement and maintain cloud environments including CI/CD pipelines. Ensure all cloud systems adhere to NIH security requirements and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud engineering and management.
Experience in a biomedical research or healthcare setting.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
Experience tracking and optimizing cloud costs
Azure Solutions Architect expert, Azure AI fundamentals

Nice To Haves

Experience working at NIH
Experience working with multiple cloud providers
Experience with Jenkins and GitHub
