About The Position

The Clinical Lead provides high-quality patient care in a team-based environment while supporting daily clinical operations in our Behavioral Health location. This role works under the supervision of a provider to prepare for and assist with patient visits, ensuring an efficient, safe, and positive patient experience. The Clinical Lead serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and plays a key role in training and supporting clinical support staff. This position partners closely with providers and office leadership to deliver best-in-class care while maintaining clinical excellence across multiple specialties.

  • RN, LPN, or Certified Medical Assistant
  • Active Florida license as applicable
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience required; five (5) years strongly preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification and annual compliance training
  • Ability to maintain annual clinical competencies
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 30–50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to travel between Premier health centers for coverage and support
  • Direct exposure to computer screens
  • Possible exposure to contagious or infectious diseases

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years at Premier Community HealthCare preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support and real-time guidance to clinical staff and providers on workflows and processes
  • Facilitate patient visits, ensuring timely care and high patient satisfaction
  • Collect patient history, perform rooming and wrap-up duties, and take vital signs
  • Assist providers during exams and clinical procedures
  • Perform laboratory duties including specimen collection, logging, and preparation for testing
  • Manage medications, including administration, storage, and documentation
  • Conduct clinical procedures such as EKGs, vision screening, OAE testing, and other diagnostics
  • Complete clerical duties including referrals, authorizations, medical records, and documentation
  • Train and onboard new clinical support staff on policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Demonstrate proficiency across multiple specialties and provide cross-coverage as needed
  • Address and de-escalate complex patient concerns professionally
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate workflow disruptions and collaborate with care team members
  • Support community initiatives and promote Premier’s mission and values
  • Participate in Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA) activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
