About The Position

The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life-threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit, therefore patients post- CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery. Requirements

  • Must have been RN III for at least 6 months
  • BLS and active license at time of hire
  • Applicants with an Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program may be considered provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years
