The Lead Clinic Informatics Specialist plays a critical role in the Scribe Program, championing the organization's mission to provide high-quality patient care by leading the Clinic Scribe team. This position acts as an in-clinic expert on all Scribe-related matters, including training, coordinating coverage, and assisting with the implementation of new clinic initiatives. The Lead Clinic Informatics Specialist will engage with Senior Scribes to facilitate the successful execution of Scribe activities in each clinic, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of these essential activities. In this role, the Lead Clinic Informatics Specialist will lead a team of 4-5 Clinic Scribes, providing ongoing training and support. They will serve as the in-clinic point person for coding and workflow questions, assist with Wellness Review Visits, and coordinate regional Scribe coverage. Additionally, they will observe and record patient encounters and examinations, document patient information, history, and diagnoses, assist in medical management, and document medical decision-making. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. This position requires a self-starter with a high degree of drive, initiative, and follow-through, as well as exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience as a Clinic Informatics Specialist (Scribe) and must embody the values of Oak Street Health, including radiating positive energy, assuming good intentions, and creating an unmatched patient experience.
