The Lead Cleaning Crew Member assists in overseeing the daily cleaning operations of BCI. This role includes cleaning, ensuring quality/safety standards are met, and providing on-the-job guidance to the cleaning crew. The Lead works alongside the cleaning crew while helping coordinate daily activities and maintaining a professional, respectful presence through their conduct, work ethic, and attendance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years in commercial janitorial work or quality inspection
  • VERY strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleaning quality standards and ensure all tasks are completed as required using tracking checklists.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees in the absence of the Manager, addressing concerns such as scheduling conflicts, absences, and workplace cleaning issues.
  • Assign and distribute duties fairly, adjusting responsibilities as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks alongside crew members.
  • Communicate issues promptly to the Human Resources Manager to support timely resolution.
  • Weekly monitor inventory levels and report what is needed to Manager.
  • Ensure staff are trained in the proper use of cleaning materials and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Promote a safe work environment and reinforce health and safety standards.
  • Conduct nightly inspections to verify cleanliness and ensure facilities are properly secured.
  • Ensure all team members are trained in the proper use of cleaning materials and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Meet regularly with the Manager to review team performance and protocols.
  • Other duties as needed.
