Requirements

High school diploma, Associate/Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
Are 18+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
Ability to pass all relevant clearances

Nice To Haves

Associate/Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field

Responsibilities

Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
Being patient and kind with our parents
Designing age appropriate lesson plans and activities
Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
Maintaining required program records, including child files and portfolios
Adjusting curriculum to ensure that all children meet the learning objectives
Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
