About the role HealthFitness has a new opportunity for a full-time, 30 hours per week, Lead Child Care Attendant, at our client site located in Gurnee, IL. As a Lead Child Care Attendant, you will be responsible for safe and fun play with children who are in the facility. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday varied schedule Oversees the everyday running of the Child Care Center and works with the Manager in the hiring process and provides reviews of the staff. Also responsible for scheduling, training, and maintenance of the Child Care Center.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in childcare.
  • Adult, Infant and Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have working knowledge of all client Fitness programs & services.
  • Current Flu vaccination required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one-year supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Recreation, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, comfortable environment for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training.
  • Maintain ongoing records for enrollment, attendance, cleaning, and other monthly metrics.
  • Coordination and supervision of special events and family programs.
  • Planning and coordination of seasonal activities, crafts, and bulletin boards.
  • Assist in the development of and adherence to annual budget.
  • Coordinate staffing and secure subs as needed to maintain policy.
  • Light housekeeping – sanitization of toys, general pick-up.
  • Perform opening/closing procedures.
  • Greet and check-in of children and parents.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when leadership is not on-site.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.
