About The Position

The Lead Child/Adolescent Social Worker at Sonora Behavioral Health is responsible for providing therapeutic services and support to children and adolescents facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • Fingerprint clearance card
  • 1+ years of experience working with the patient population

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling of child/adolescent unit coverage
  • Address crisis issues and problem-solve discharge concerns
  • Conduct social history assessments through observation and interviews
  • Coordinate and plan programs to meet patients' social and emotional needs
  • Promote recovery and achievement of social functioning
  • Provide crisis management and family sessions
  • Assist in developing effective treatment plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Communicate with family members to support the patient
  • Manage a caseload and ensure proper documentation
  • Facilitate education and support groups as needed
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards customers
  • Acknowledge and resolve patient complaints
  • Prioritize patient safety
