Drive quality across Chemical Process supply chain, including quality plan implementation. Support suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business. Has experience and expertise to solve problems affecting both short term and long-term business goals.

  • Drive Supplier Quality Assurance and Development, including supplier qualifications, action plans, and performance monitoring.
  • Assist key suppliers in achieving industrial standards of excellence.
  • Become a certified expert (Certifying Agent) in Chemical Processes such as cleaning, stripping, etching, plating, anodize, paint, and DFL.
  • Document technical data for assigned projects in alignment with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance First Time Yield and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with Design and Materials Engineers to improve manufacturability and producibility.
  • Conduct supplier audits, identify gaps in quality systems, and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Solve problems using technical expertise, analytic thinking, and collaboration across teams.
  • Partner with suppliers in developing high performing chemical processes.
  • Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in Engineering or as a Chemical Processing Level III).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Chemical and/or Metal Finishing Processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for audits, conferences, and problem-solving activities.
  • Significant Experience as Process Engineer / Process Owner over Chemical Cleaning, Chemical Etching, Chemical Stripping, Plating, Anodizing, Paint, and DFL processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Nadcap System and Audit requirements for Chemical Processing.
  • Advanced degree in Material Science, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
