About The Position

The Lead Chemical Operator will be responsible for overseeing batch manufacturing and packaging processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting plant operations through troubleshooting and maintenance. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in chemical or liquid batch manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with packaging systems and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • GED or high school diploma equivalency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor batch manufacturing systems for liquid fertilizer production.
  • Oversee packaging operations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues in order to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Perform routine mechanical and maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new operators and team members.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and other departments during facility startup and ongoing operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
  • Any other duties assigned.
