About The Position

Rogue Valley Manor, is proud to be Southern Oregon’s premier not-for-profit Life Plan Community. The Manor is a thriving, bustling village of nearly 1,000 incredible residents, with a sprawling, magnificent 668-acre campus that’s full of active, engaging ways for residents to spend their time. Our campus offers residents delicious dining and a continuum of healthcare including Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Chaplain. Administering professional counseling and pastoral care to both residents and employees by being creative and sensitive to the emotional, spiritual, and sound aspects of their lives. What you'll be doing: Demonstrate leadership by ensuring that accountability and Pacific Retirement Services’ (PRS) Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role. Coordinate in the offering of devotional opportunities. Coordinate the meeting of ritual and sacramental needs. Coordinate spiritual care volunteers. Deliver and arrange for appropriate spiritual or pastoral care to residents, their loved ones, and employees in specific areas of the organization or to particular faith groups. Respond to requests for pastoral care in a timely manner. Refer to appropriate resources if you cannot meet the individual need. Support and promote pastoral care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in spiritual care, chaplaincy, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field. Masters of Divinity degree is preferred.
  • Ordained Minister (OM), Ordained Local Minister (OLM), Ordained Interdenominational Minister (OIM) certificate or other ordination in a recognized denomination.
  • Comfortable working with and showing an acceptance of and compassion towards individuals from diverse faith/non-faith and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills, including, ability to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to fill out forms, keep accurate records, and submit reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters of Divinity degree is preferred.
