About The Position
As the Senior Certification Auditor at SGS North America Inc., you will play a crucial role in performing third-party audits in accordance with SGS Certification procedures and the requirements of applicable standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to conduct audits from anywhere while maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity. You will be responsible for making relevant decisions concerning the audit process and will communicate with SGS SSC as necessary to resolve any issues that arise outside the audit process. Your primary responsibility will be to collect and analyze sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification, ensuring that all auditing activities are conducted in compliance with SGS's global and local procedures. In this role, you will have the authority to control and perform auditing activities, including planning and managing other members of audit teams. You will be expected to assimilate, understand, and operate the SGS Certification Management System in all activities related to your position. Additionally, you will control teams of auditors during audits and decide whether registration should be recommended based on the evidence gathered during the audits. You will strive to gain sufficient audit experience to cover all of SGS's accredited activities and assist in training other auditors and lead auditors during planned audits or training functions. Participation in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies will also be part of your responsibilities, along with maintaining all audit credentials and adhering to internal standards, policies, and procedures. This position may also involve assignments against other standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, and requires a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to react effectively in stressful situations. You will need to demonstrate integrity, tact, and character while leading a team to achieve set goals and complete audits on time and according to standards.
