RESPONSIBLE FOR: Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Leads the day-to-day operational work flow. Responsibilities include staffing, monitoring staff performance, providing staff education, inventory control, management of sterile processing information database, and implementing and directing Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement initiatives for the department. Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital.

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Three years of Central Service Processing or Operating Room Procedural Support Technician experience or Surgical Tech Experience
  • Central Service Processing Technician Certification, or Certified Operating Room Technician Certification required or Surgical Tech Certification
