About The Position
The Lead CDL Driver is responsible for leading a group of CDL Drivers in their day-to-day duties. This position involves completing routes for employees who are absent, assisting drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight and loading trucks, and delivering and picking up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers. The Lead CDL Driver will also inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle, collect payments as needed, and verify the content of pickups on shipping papers. Additionally, they will notify management of any problems or discrepancies, maintain a professional personal appearance, and participate in weekly meetings to communicate goals and assignments.
